January and February are busy months here at the school!

January 2015 Events

Starting on January 22, 2015, we are presenting Disney's High School Musical.



The dates and times are:
  • Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 7:30pm
  • Friday, January 23, 2015 at 7:30pm
  • Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2pm
  • Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 7:30pm
All performances take place at the Victoria High School.
Admission is $8 for students and $10 for adults.

February 2015 Events


Next up are the Vancouver Island Semi-Finals and Finals of the Canadian Improv Games (CIG) for the Vancouver Island Region.

Vic High is hosting all the events for February!

Tickets are available at the door.

The dates and times are as follows:
  • Friday, February 6th (7:30 pm) (top 8 teams on the island)
    Island Semi-finals (part 1)
  • Saturday, February 7th (2:30 pm) (top 6 Jr. teams on the island)
    Island Junior Finals
  • Saturday, February 7th (7:30 pm) (top 8 teams on the island)
    Island Semi-finals (part 2)
  • Sunday, February 8th (2:30 pm) (top 5 teams after semi-finals) - Island Finals
The winning team is entered into the National Finals which take place in Ottawa!

Great things are happening this upcoming Family Day Weekend at the Victoria High School! We are playing host to the 2015 CIG Island Semi-Finals, Junior Cup and Island Finals! Teams from all over Vancouver Island are converging at this event starting Friday, February 6th, 2015. In addition to the performances, there will be workshops that are available to all participating school CIG teams, regardless of whether or not they are competing that weekend. Christmas Tree Chipping Fundraiser a success!

We are very excited to have been invited to attend the  Berlin Improv Festival   in March 2014!  This will be the first time ever in the festival’s 13 year history where they have hosted a high school improv group and we’re excited to be part of this unique event! Over their 10 day stay in Berlin, our students will participate in 4 days of workshops from two different instructors (not from the US or Canada) and will perform for a local school audience at the end. They also will be enjoying the festival performances and taking time to visit the historic city of Berlin itself. For a group of 16 students, the total cost is $32,000 CDN which includes their return airfare, ground transportation, accommodations, workshops and access to the festival. Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 to help reduce the per student cost to approximately $1,600.
